IGT series is an industrial-grade IoT gateway. Due to the natural of working unmanned, there’s no video output on the IGT. Though the RS-232 console, LAN and WiFi make it possible to login for configuration, it sometimes needs experienced and skillful guy to do the job via command line. Is there any intuitional approach to configure it? The answer is YES. Here’s a series of articles introducing something you can use for administration on the IGT-20 and IGT-30 series.

In general, these web-based administration tools, or control panels, do help when I’d like to know the status of IGT and do some maintenance job. However, from my personal experience, it’s not that helpful if I’m going to initialize a new service or a new server. And personally I don’t recommend these tools installed in the deployed IoT or IIoT devices, for most of the time, these tools are not used, and leaving them there has potential risk of security. But I still share the job done here. Enjoy and take care.
